Safety and hygiene in times of Corona
Certainly now it is important to know that if we are allowed to travel, we can do this in a safe and clean way. A rental car is certainly a safe option. You travel in your own rental car with the travel company you chose yourself. You are free to go wherever you want to go and therefor you can avoid busy places. There is a lot of choice, both in locations and in car categories, and so there is always a car that fits your needs and wishes. Will it be a sporty cabriolet for tow or a 7-seater for the whole family, we have it all.
Strict cleaning protocols
The health and safety of our customers and employees always come first. To prevent the spread of the corona virus, the already strict cleaning protocols have been further tightened with all our partners we work with. The guidelines of the RIVM are always leading. These extra hygiene measures ensure that you can always rent a car completely carefree and safe at RNTaCar. All our partners have a strict cleaning policy to assure you to leave in a spotless clean and safe car. Where to go? That’s up to you, you have the freedom to go wherever you want to go. The wide choice in locations and car types help you with that. And if travel regulations allow it, you can even cross the border in many cases. And we are there with you all the way, from information to reservations and from pick up to drop off. Our Customer Service team has over 30 years of experience and is there for you 24/7.
Travel safe in a clean car
With over 20,000 pickup locations worldwide we also offer a broad variety of car types. A compact KIA or a spacious SUV, there is always a car that suits your wishes and fits in your budget. Safety and hygiene have always been our top priority, but now in times of COVID-19, we are tightening the measures even more. We follow the highest standards of hygiene. Alamo, for example introduced the Complete Clean Pledge protocol, with a complete explanation of how cars are kept safe and clean. The rental car is extensively disinfected with a disinfectant. Extra attention is paid to surfaces that are frequently touched, such as seat belts, door handles, the dashboard, gear lever, handbrake, steering wheel and car keys. Any additional options that have been booked are also extensively cleaned and disinfected. All employees at the locations are also well aware of all regulations. So also in times of Corona you can travel safe with RNTaCar. And if plans change? No problem, with our flexible cancellation and change policy you can easily change your plans.
Regulations at the location
At your chosen destination there can be other rules effective, they vary per destination. Standard rules always apply such as keeping distance. Also surfaces that are touched regularly are cleaned often such as the desk, door handles and tablets. But there are also differences. For example with how many people you are allowed to travel in a car or can enter the location or how many distance you should keep when you are not with your own family. If you decide to fly from Schiphol you have to fill in a gezondheidsverklaring. A lot more information you can also find on Wijs op Reis van Nederlandwereldwijd.nl. Check their website for all questions on your destination.

Why choose a rental car during corona?
Renting a car is a wise choice when it comes to making travel plans at this time. You are with your own travel company. And you decide for yourself where you will and will not go. This way, you can avoid crowded places. Also, all rental cars are thoroughly cleaned before they go to the next renter.
What are you doing to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus?
A clean and safe rental car has always been essential to us. That is why we only work with car rental companies that also consider this a high priority. But now more emphasis is placed on this. For example, Alamo use the Complete Clean Pledge Protocol. And the other rental companies also apply strict guidelines for a clean and safe rental car.
Can I still change or cancel my booking?
You can change your booking free of charge up to 48 hours before the pick up of the car. If you change it to a new date or to a different type, a different rate may be charged. If you cancel the booking within 48 hours before pick up you only pay the prepayment. If the cancellation is caused because of Corona-related reasons, we are flexible and we will do our utmost to arrange a free cancellation. If you cancel after the rental date has started you can no longer cancel for free. Most of the time, if you have a valid reason, you can claim costs at your insurance company.
Does RNTaCar.com cancel a car itself?
No, RNTaCar.com does not automatically cancel your booking. Because maybe you are already at a destination and therefore you do not have any travel restrictions. So you always have to take action yourself if you want to change or cancel your car rental booking.
What measures apply to the destination?
The most important rules to avoid the Coronavirus are the same worldwide, keep your distance, avoid crowded places, and stay at home in case of symptoms. But there are also measures that differ per country or even per region. A good website to keep updated on the latest developments in various countries is Nederlandwereldwijd.nl. You can find up-to-date information about the virus itself, for example, on the website of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport. If you have specific questions about the destination where you want to go, it is best to look at the specific pages of the national government about traveling abroad.
